On June 26, the Forum will start its activity: “Electricity market of Ukraine: implementing changes”
On June 26-27, 2018, the Coordination Center to ensure the introduction of new electricity market under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (Coordination Center), supported by the United States Agency for international development (USAID) “Development of energy markets in Ukraine” organizes a two day Forum “Electricity market of Ukraine: implementing changes”.
It is stated on the official website of the Coordination Center.
The Forum will comprise two parts, it is intended for a broad audience, interested in new electricity market introduction.
Strategic session, that will be held on the first day, is intended for key players in the electricity market, specialists, experts, politicians, representatives of State executive authorities and public organizations, it provides for the exchange of visions and thoughts on the main challenges of the implementation of new electricity market.
Discussion with participation of a professional moderator, together with presentations on key topics of new electricity market development, aim to identify the main issues which need support from the Government, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC), national and international partners, as well as legislative amendments to implement new market of electric energy in term, specified by legislation.
Seminar/training, which will take place on the second day, is intended for experts/representatives of market players involved in the processes associated with unbundling of the activity on distribution of electrical energy from other types of activities, and the introduction of the activities of the universal service providers, as the statement says.
