Petroleum bitumens are viscous road bitumens obtained by oxidizing the residues of atmospheric-vacuum distillation of crude oil and selectively separating petroleum products (asphalts from deasphalting, selective purification extracts), as well as by compounding high-viscosity oxidized and non-oxidized products or direct distillation of crude oil (bitumens).
Distillation bitumens are used as a binding material for the construction and repair of road surfaces in all road-climatic regions of Ukraine.
